    Accessing Your Student Rosters and Emailing Your Students via myDU
    This document shows you how to retrieve your class rosters for either the current or future semester(s), as well as how to send email to your students using the class list feature in myDU.  Added bonus:  identifying your students by their pictures.  (A nice feature for getting to know your students by name in this digital world when exchanging documents via email!)

    Using Turning Point 5
    Information Technology has three sets of clickers available to lend to faculty.  This document covers the very latest version of the TurningPoint software that they use:  TurningPoint 5.  This new version includes both the PowerPoint and "non-PowerPoint" versions of TurningPoint, which were previously separate programs.  In addition to this document, the Turning Technologies website has some documents and video tutorials.

    Brief Guide to Using "Clickers" and the Turning Point 2008 Software

    Information Technology has three sets of clickers available to lend to faculty.  The documentation included with the clickers is likely enough to get you started, but as a supplement feel free to use the attached PDF file for some tips.  This is for the older version of TurningPoint, also called TurningPoint 2008 or TurningPoint version 4.x.   Also, check the TurningPoint website for some good online tutorials.  This guide goes over the TurningPoint software that gets embedded into PowerPoint.

    TurningPoint Anywhere: Using "Clickers" Without PowerPoint
    In addition to the conventional TurningPoint software that embeds into PowerPoint, there is also TurningPoint Anywhere, which does NOT require the use of PowerPoint at all.  This handout gives information on how to use that software.  This is for the older version of TurningPoint Anywhere, also called TurningPoint  Anywhere 2008 or TurningPoint Anywhere version 4.x.  Also be sure to check the helpful videos on their web site, too.

    Note: Be patient for these videos to load, especially from off-campus!  The videos are narrated, so they require speakers or a headset; closed-captioning is available for the Flash versions.  The Flash player is required for the Flash versions of the videos.  You likely already have this, but if not, it can be downloaded from this site.  An identical MP4 version of each video is also available and can be downloaded.

    Teaching in a room with a SMART Board?  We have a brief PDF guide to their use as well as an overview video.
